Infiniti USA - Bluetooth Wireless Phone Technology

The official Infiniti Bluetooth Information Center, which outlines support for Bluetooth phones in their 2006 and 2007 models. Includes PDF instructions for each manufacturer, phone, and car model.  Very well done.

Motorola's new line of Bluetooth car kits

At CES, this year Motorola introduced it's NLNC Bluetooth Car Kit Portfolio, which allows aftermarket installation of the features found in many OEM Bluetooth car kits, including the Acura HandsFreeLink. Aftermarket kits are a great choice for older model cars, or brands shipping without Bluetooth compatibility.

The Moto kits claim compatibility with most Motorola bluetooth enabled phones, as well as "other manufacturers" but of course, your mileage may vary there.

A good choice if you know you want to stick with Motorola phones, or your corporate plan dictates so.

Parrot Bluetooth Handsfree Car Kits

I've noticed on the European boards that quite a few people starting to useParrot as an aftermarket bluetooth handsfree solution.

According to expansys and the product description for the CK3000 this product works with the Sony Ericsson P800 among others because it implements both the Handsfree and the Headset profiles.

Bluetooth Profile: The 'Headset' and 'Handsfree' profiles determine the level of features made available for the connection. Headset profile is basically just a voice channel opened between the phone and the accessory. Handsfree allows more sophistication, with caller ID and dual call. Parrot CK3000 accepts both profiles and connects using the richest profile available from the phone.
